Prince William married commoner Kate Middleton in Westminster Abbey in London on Friday among roaring crowds and hundreds of invited guests.
The price, who is second in line for the throne, waited smartly as beautifully dressed his bride to be, Middleton walked down what is one of the longest aisles in the world. They couple married amid keen interest from audiences around the world.
Millions of people watched the coverage on the TV and on the internet including many in the US, who had to get up in the middle of the night on a normal working day to watch another country's royal wedding.
Many Americans said that the pageantry, romance and pure joyfulness of a British state occasion is very hard to miss. Most leading US channels were broadcasting the royal wedding with commentaries from famous personalities.
